Hills and mud galore

On Saturday two runners from Dagenham 88 took on the legendary Orion 15 event. Hosted by the Orion Harriers, the 15 mile cross country event is notorious for being as muddy as it is hilly! Rahana Islam completed the course in 02:23:25 which was a PB for her by almost 5 minutes. Sadly Gary Cardnell had to stop at 8 miles to avoid further injury after turning his ankle.

Elsewhere on Saturday morning Beverley Eagles (28:22), Sonya Byers (51:33), Joanna Smith (52:24) and James Byers (52:26) were at Valentines parkrun whilst Peter Salmon (22:52) and Lynton Fairman (25:56) took on Raphael parkrun. In Maldon, Andy Beazeley (29:09), Jenny O’Hanlon (32:40) and Lorraine Hilton (32:43) were in action whilst Jason Manning (26:36) was at Gunpowder parkrun. At Barking parkrun, Carole Adams (24:22), Daniel Miller (26:18), Emma O’Shea (30:36), Jacqui Elliott (35:38) and Ronnie Waller (44:13) were in action whilst Caroline Tuck (24:10), Tracey Sheehy (25:33) and Nils Hollmann (29:25) ran Harrow Lodge parkrun.
